How do I get 400hp out of a Crown Vic.?
Is there a way to get 400hp out of a Police Crown Vic without the use of a supercharger or turbo. I've been told that NOS beats the crap out of your engine if it not tuned right, do you have any suggestions.
The only way to do it without supercharging or NOS is to change the guts.
Need new Heads, Cams, and Intake.
The Heads are particularly important if your Crown Vic is Pre 1999. You will want to get the PI Heads from Ford.
The Cam, there are many good choices from Competition Cams for the 4.6.
Intake, definitely a 4.6 Cobra Intake or Bullitt Intake.
Then a full exhaust from headers, o/r H-pipe,and new pipes.
Swap the axle for 3.73 or 4.10 and put in a shift kit for the Tranny or swap in a Mustang t-45.
I think this might get you 340-360. 400 will be tough without any power adders, but your Crown Vic will be a lot more responsive
