how to turn on/turn off Overdrive in a 2010 Ford Escape Limited?

it says in the owners manual that it can be turned on and turned off, but I don't see a switch or button marked O/D anywhere, i'm just wondering if it is on or not? there is one button on the gear shifter but that for the grade assist

Hi Mike,
The default on your transmission is that Overdrive is ON when ever you start the vehicle.
And that means that it automatically shifts through all 6 gears.
To turn the Overdrive OFF, press the little button for grade assist.
That will lock out Overdrive gears.
