How much would a "Bullitt" Mustang cost?
In the movie "Bullitt" (1968), Steve McQueen drives a rather famous Ford Mustang. I was just curious—what is the year of this car and how much this car would cost if one were to find it in good condition somewhere? I don't need advertisements or anything like that. Just a rough money estimate.
The car was a 1968 GT and with the current increase in price that fastback stangs have been fetching a good condition car would be around 25k at least. There was no "Bullitt" Mustang, but the color and popularity of the movie prompted Ford to make a limited production version of the SN97 car. Ford has liscensed a company to produce new 67 fastback frames because of their increase in popularity, so depending on if your looking for a project or a turn-key setup that might be another option. The remaining original "Bullitt" mustang is featured in this months Mustang Monthly so maybe you can call the guy and ask what he wants for it

Bullitt $16.98 Robert L. Pike's crime novel Mute Witness makes the transition to the big screen in this film from director Peter Yates. In one of his most famous roles, Steve McQueen stars as tough-guy police detective Frank Bullitt. The story begins with Bullitt assigned to a seemingly routine detail, protecting mafia informant Johnny Ross (Pat Renella), who is scheduled to testify against his Mob cronies before a Senate subcommittee in San Francisco. But when a pair of hitmen ambush their secret location, fatally wounding Ross, things don't add up for Bullitt, so he decides to investigate the case on his own. Unfortunately for him, ambitious senator Walter Chalmers (Robert Vaughn), the head of the aforementioned subcommittee, wants to shut his investigation down, hindering Bullitt's plan to not only bring the killers to justice but discover who leaked the location of the hideout. ~ Matthew Tobey, All Movie Guide does his own stunt driving as he propels his high-performance Mustang GT around and over San Francisco's fabled hills at speeds up to 115 miles an hour.
