Why my system freezes during gaming?

Hi my name is Waqas. I live in Lahore Pakistan. Last time I asked about my system Freeze. During gameplay.
I ave following specs
1 AMDathlon64X2 4000 + New
2 2GB ram Kingston 667 New
3 Sata Hitachi 80 gb. Old used.
4 XFX 8500GT 512 mb New
Some of you replied in changing the hard drive. While one person replied using a software Tuneup Utilities 2007. It didnt find any bad sectors in my hard. I used another software that is driver detective. i had recently bought a new moniter that is LG 17 inch semi flat. The software driver detective showed that previous monitor driver is still installed. my previous monitor was and old modeled. 15 inch VIGLEN envy with build in speakers. It was wide Screen moniter. It didnt load its own driver so I had to control the HERTZ of moniter by installing a 15 inch Philips moniter driver. Now the problem is that .both tuneup utilities 2007 and kaspersky 6 running, my system starts a bit slow, net is too slow and it freezez in gaming. PLZ help.

Its very difficult trying to troubleshoot problems while gaming. It could be a host of issues including:

1) Overheating.
2) Bad drivers.
3) Bad hardware.
4) Bad OS install.
5) Not enough juice!

First I'd make sure your video card has the most up-to-date drivers. Next, I'd also make sure your BIOS is at the newest version too, as to rule out any hardware incompatibility issues. Lastly, maybe try and find a program that tests all your hardware components and make sure none of it fails. You should also be able to use that same program to monitor the temperature of your CPU, PSU, video card, RAM, etc. I would also check and make sure your power supply is putting out enough watts to power everything. The video cards of today practically need their own power supply to run!

Lastly, if you do all that and none of that resolves the issue, I would wipe your hard drive clean of everything and do a fresh install of whatever operating system you use. Then, update all the drivers for your hardware and try your games again and see if that helps.
